Produzido por Mel Stuart e lançado em 1971, Willy Wonka &The Chocolate Factory foi o primeiro filme baseado no livro infantil Charlie and The Chocolate Factory de Roald Dahl, publicado em 1964. 

O filme foi indicado ao Oscar na categoria de Melhor Banda Sonora Original e ao Globo de Ouro de Melhor Actor em Comédia ou Musical (Gene Wilder). 

Por incrível que pareça, Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory foi um fracasso nas bilheteiras.

Eu gostei. Desde as músicas, às frases geniais, passando pela irreverência do Willy Wonka e pelo talento de Gene Wilder ao interpretá-lo, faz com que esteja no Top 10 dos meus filmes favoritos.

The Concert for Bangladesh

Há 40 anos, George Harrison e Ravi Shankar fizerem dois concertos no Madison Square Garden, em Nova Iorque, para alertar o mundo para o sofrimento do povo de Bangladesh, vítimas de inundações, da fome e da Guerra Civil.

Para honrar o 40º aniversário deste evento, o filme "The Concert for Bangladesh" foi transmitido online no site oficial de George Harrison.

GNT - Canal do Beatlemaníaco

O canal GNT vai passar na próxima semana (11 a 15 de Julho) vários documentários sobre os Beatles. O primeiro chama-se "O dia em que Lennon morreu", que retrata a vida de John Lennon após a separação dos Beatles e remonta o dia em que foi assassinado em frente ao seu prédio em Nova Iorque. Não percam!
